Shannon Health Hosts Four Part Symposium for SAISD Seniors Interested in a Future in Healthcare

San Angelo ISD is proud to announce a unique partnership with Shannon Health, the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Division, Howard College, and Angelo State University to offer an exclusive four-part symposium series, the Shannon Health Science Symposium Series, to SAISD high school seniors following a Health Sciences pathway and interest. The first part of the symposium series was hosted on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Howard College and focused on introducing students to health care careers paths right here in San Angelo with Shannon Health.

Five SAISD Students Named All-State Musicians by Texas Music Educators Association

San Angelo ISD proudly celebrates five students from Central High School and Lake View High School who reached the highest level a high school musician can achieve through the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) by earning the distinguished honor of TMEA All-State in band, orchestra, and choir. 

Congratulations to:

Join San Angelo ISD in Celebration of 80 Days Left in the School Year on January 24th

Throw on your acid washed jeans and neon colors, put a cassette in your Walkman and join San Angelo ISD as we go back to the 1980’s to celebrate the remaining 80 rockin’ days at SAISD. On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, San Angelo ISD will celebrate 80 days left in the school year with an optional 80’s themed dress up day across the district. We invite your children to dress in their best 80’s gear. 

Lincoln Middle School Earns National Distinction as a School to Watch

San Angelo ISD congratulates and celebrates Lincoln Middle School for receiving the national distinction of Texas School to Watch by the The National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform and the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP). A Texas School to Watch is a school that consistently has moved to meet fully the nationally endorsed criteria for high-performing middle schools; one that has made marked progress in meeting all of these criteria, including measurable gains in the academic achievement of all students over time, and is committed to continuous improvement.

SAISD Sustainability Plan

As San Angelo ISD thoughtfully explores the recommendation for the Sustainability Plan presented by the West Texas architecture firm, we hosted town hall forums at our campuses most impacted by the combinations of elementary schools to hear from the varied perspectives and unique voices in our community. Our final town hall will be held virtually via Zoom on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 5:30-6:30 pm.
