Dr. Moran’s August Superintendent Update highlights continued academic growth across San Angelo ISD, progress on Bond 2025 construction projects, and the start of another exciting school year. This month’s update also includes the Lake View High School groundbreaking, important school safety and communication reminders, community and classroom highlights, the San Angelo READS! Back-to-School Pop-Up, and a recap of the August Board of Trustees meeting.

2025-2026 Accountability Ratings

San Angelo ISD continued its upward trajectory in academic performance, according to the 2025-2026 A-F accountability data from the Texas Education Agency scheduled to be released later this week. While the District maintained a “C” rating, its overall score increased from 73 to 76, demonstrating continued progress. District leaders recognize that a “C” is not where San Angelo ISD intends to remain and are committed to building on this momentum as the District works toward earning the highest rating possible. 

Free and Reduced Lunch Application

San Angelo ISD announced its continued policy for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the attached current income eligibility guidelines as outlined by the United States Department of Agriculture and Texas Department of Agriculture. Each school/site or the Child Nutrition office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by anyone on request.
