San Angelo Central Bobcats Presented with Special Edition of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine

Our San Angelo Central High School Bobcat Football team was presented with 250 copies of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine featuring the Bobcat seniors on the cover during a presentation at the San Angelo Stadium Field House on Wednesday, July 14th. The Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine is known as the “bible” of Texas football and is a biannual magazine previewing Texas football for the upcoming season at all levels. The first Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine was released in 1960. 

San Angelo ISD Head Football Coach Kevin Crane was joined by Robel Melesse, Vice President of Operations at Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, Curt Allison, a Market Engagement Specialist at Suddenlink, and Michelle Hameister, Central High School Booster Club Representative, in a presentation of the commemorative cover wrapped copies of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football in celebration of the upcoming football season. 

“I've been coaching in Texas for 13 years and I have every single magazine for every year that I coached the last 13 years. It is an important magazine and one that I look forward to getting every single year.” Said Coach Kevin Crane during the July 14th presentation. “To be able to have the cover wrap and to feature our seniors on the cover is what we chose to do this year. That's a pretty cool thing and it's something that you guys will have for a lifetime and something you can hold onto and treasure. It just goes to show what people think about San Angelo Central football all across the state.”
